London City Island has been dubbed ‘mini Manhattan’. Ballymore proposed the scheme as an enhanced link between London boroughs Tower Hamlets and Newham. The plans include the transformation of 14 acres of riverside near Canary Wharf into an island neighbourhood comprising 1,700 new flats, waterside parks, bars & restaurants, a school, shops, artist studios and a private residents' club.
