London, UK, 06th March 2015: S & T Interiors (UK) are delighted to be sponsoring the 2015 Charity Golf Day, at Wentworth Club, in aid of TackleAfrica. The charity provides frontline HIV education through football coaching to young people throughout Africa. The 2014 S&T Celebrity Golf Masters day raised over £30,000 for the UK charity, allowing a sustainable scale-up of essential HIV education services in Uganda. The event, sponsored by S&T Interiors (UK), was held at Wentworth Club last August and featured celebrities from the world of football and rugby combining to raise money for this vital cause.
Jeff Watts, CEO, on behalf of S&T, commented: “I am delighted to announce this sponsorship deal with TackleAfrica again for this year. Last year’s golf day fundraising went directly to employing new TackleAfrica staff that, along with a network of coaches, will support some 4,000 vulnerable young children in learning about HIV through football. All the celebrity footballers and rugby players will once again be giving their time for free, which we greatly appreciate”.
TackleAfrica train and support local coaches throughout Africa to combine vital health messaging using football drills to ensure learning takes place in a way that youngsters enjoy, remember and understand. The charity have been in Africa since 2007 and support a network of over 400 coaches across Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia providing consistent information and support to help youngsters make safe choices around their sexual behaviour and protect themselves and their communities from the potentially catastrophic impact of HIV.
