London City Island has been dubbed ‘Mini Manhattan’. The client, Ballymore, proposed the scheme as an enhanced link between London boroughs Tower Hamlets and Newham. The plans included the transformation of 14 acres of riverside near Canary Wharf into an island neighbourhood comprising 1,700 new flats, waterside parks, bars & restaurants, a school, shops, artist studios and a private residents' club. S&T completed the fit-out of the marketing suite.
