Designed and built by S&T, this new three star Premier Inn at London Heathrow Airport's Terminal 4 was completed in April 2017. The new hotel boasts 613 guestrooms over seven floors, making it the second largest Premier Inn in the UK.
The hotel was constructed in compliance with 'secure by design' principles, including anti-terrorism measures, an RC frame structure and built around three main lift cores. At basement level, an open underground car park was constructed with natural ventilation and houses the plant-rooms. The Premier Inn branded 'Thyme' restaurant has a 322 cover capability and guests have direct access to Heathrow Terminal 4 via a 105 metre covered walkway.
The ground floor consists of a mixture of airline crew rooms and guestrooms have been designed to allow for standardisation, all fitted out in Premier Inn branding. A key aspect of the build was the installation of bathroom pods, installed at an impressive rate of 50 pods per week.
Externally, the building is clad in alucobond with Premier Inn branding.
